Meet the Teachers - Cheryl Albright

Cheryl grew up with a brother with autism and an aunt with Down Syndrome. She began working with children with special needs through Rotary Camp Onsewaya at the age of 14. She continued teaching adapted swim lessons to children with special needs through high school and college.

Cheryl has been an occupational therapist since 2003, teaching Yoga for the Special Child® since 2009. She is a Certified Yoga Therapist, has taken advanced training in Yoga for Scleroderma and teaches at Chapter and Support Group meetings in Florida. Cheryl has made video on practicing safely at home featured on the Yoga for Scleroderma YouTube channel.

Cheryl owns Soul to Soul Yoga which was created in collaboration with Yoga for the Special Child® to provide a home in the Sarasota Florida area. Soul to Soul Yoga provides adaptive yoga classes, both in person and online, to anyone who wants or needs them.

All-in-all, Cheryl is an occupational therapist, yoga therapist, educator, speaker, and caregiver.

Cheryl has 3 fur babies…she does not have children of her own, as her plate is completely full of caregiving roles.

In the little amount of free time she has, Cheryl enjoys gardening, baking/cooking, and spending time with friends and family.
